Definition
Number assigned by the system that groups together characteristic values of release attributes to a release reason .
Use
For a conditional release the system checks the values of the release attributes and compares them with the prerequisites in each individual release reason.
When it encounters an applicable release reason, the system triggers the release workflow and stops searching. If several release reasons would apply, the system still only triggers the release workflow once. This means that there is an or-link between the release reasons of a release object.
However, all prerequisites of a release reason must be met.

Example
There are two release reasons for the release object standing order and the release procedure principle of dual control:

Result: For all standing orders with an amount between USD 500 and USD 1,000 or between EUR 500 and EUR 1,000, the system starts a release workflow, in the course of which they are subject to the principle of dual control.
