Documentation
Definition
Specifies the date taken by the system as the initial date of the planning delivery schedule generation.
Use
The system uses the date you enter here as the start date for the delivery schedule split validity period and splitting rule range. These determine which schedule lines are included in or excluded from the planning delivery schedule.
Procedure
If you do not enter a value here, the system will not generate schedule lines in the planning delivery schedule!
- Enter 1 to set the delivery schedule date in the forecast delivery schedule as the base date.
In this way, the planning delivery schedule results are not dependent on the day on which the delivery schedule is actually generated.
If there is no forecast delivery schedule for the item, the system uses the date of the previous planning delivery schedule as the base date.
- Enter 2 to set the date of planning delivery schedule generation as the base date.
Use this date to push back the split validity period and splitting rule range. Note that the base date does not affect the beginning date of the split, which is still the forecast delivery schedule date.
No matter what date you decide to use as the base date, schedule lines in the forecast delivery schedule whose dates lie before the planning delivery schedule creation date are included. Schedule lines from the forecast delivery date up to the base date will be split in the same way as those schedule lines whose dates lie on or after the base date.
