Definition
When setting up a new sales organization, only main parameters are maintained, the remaining parameters are allocated to the new purchasing organization via the reference organization. These parameters are used to ensure that the system can still run after a new configuration.
Creating a new sales organization with reference technique: The entire functionality of reference organization is automatically taken as a basis, the main parameters can be changed. Other parameters can be allocated to the new sales organization by specifying another sales organization in the field 'Functionality'.
Creating a new sales organization without reference technique: You must select a reference organization whose functionality is taken as a basis for the new sales organization. The reference and the main parameters can be changed.
The functionality can no longer be changed after setting up the sales organization. You can change the functionality by deleting the sales organization and creating it again with other reference.
If you want to have different parameters of the functionality than the reference organization offers, contact your consultant who will change the corresponding parameters by expert mode.
