Definition

Specifies that a goods receipt for an order is posted automatically for the confirmation.

Use

This indicator specifies that a goods receipt is automatically posted for an order if a confirmation was entered for one of the following objects:

  • For operations in Quality Management (QM) and Production Planning (PP). This indicator is ignored for suboperations.
  • For phases in Production Planning in Process Industries (PP-PI). This indicator is ignored for operations and secondary resources
  • This indicator is ignored in Plant Maintenance (PM)

The automatic goods receipt is triggered by the confirmation of the operation in whose control key this indicator has been set.

Dependencies

If automatic goods receipt is not defined in the control key of any operation, automatic goods receipt can be triggered by the indicator in the production scheduling profile.

Notes

Note that you cannot set automatic goods receipt in an order for several operations or phases.

Use this indicator in process industries (PP-PI) only if:

  • You do not use process messages to post your goods movements directly from process control.
  • The confirmed quantity agrees with the yield produced. The processed operation quantity is confirmed as the basis for calculating activity, however, this is often not the case in process industries.
