Definition

A processing group defines a group of orders within a controlling area, which you should process together (that means, in one run).

The field has no technical significance for the system, and is used only for selection purposes. You can also use it for user-specific purposes.

Prior to Release 4.0 the processing group was referred to as an allocation group.
