Documentation
Definition
Indicates the maximum number of materials that are to be included in the physical inventory.
Use
If you specify a maximum number of materials here, the system creates physical inventory documents for these materials only.
Dependencies
If you want to create physical inventory documents for more than one stock type for a material, the maximum number of items you specify here may be exceeded.
Example:
You want to include all three of a material's stock types in a physical inventory. You have defined the maximum number of items as 20. The first 19 items are already occupied by other materials. If item 20 then contains the unrestricted-use stock for this material, the system includes two other items that contain stock in quality inspection and blocked stock. Therefore, 22 items have to be included in the physical inventory although you had defined a maximum of 20 items.
You can use the Max. no. items/documents indicator to define the number of physical inventory documents over which the items are distributed.
