Definition
The object-specific residence time determines the length of time for which an object can be stored in the operational database. An object can only be archived once this time has elapsed. The object-specific residence time consists of a number of periods and a period unit.
The object-specific residence time must be longer than the minimum residence time defined in the check table for the global control of archiving.
The residence time refers to calendar days only; it is not based on posting days or working days.
