Definition

This indicator specifies that transportation from the departure country to the destination country takes place by roll-on roll-off transport.

Use

If you set the RoRo indicator and the conditions named below are fulfilled, the system also reads the dangerous goods master data records for the base mode-of-transport category Sea (04) and outputs them on the dangerous goods documents by means of EDI:

• The last stage in which the departure country appears must have the base mode-of-transport category Road (01) or Rail (02).
• The first stage in which the destination country appears must have the base mode-of-transport category Road or Rail.
• The stages between the last stage in which the departure country appears and the first stage in which the destination country appears must have the base mode-of-transport category Road or Rail.

Notes

The system first searches for a table entry with the information on route, departure country, and destination country. If no suitable entry is found, the system searches for an entry with departure country and destination country.
