Definition

"Append Table Changes" flag for the table change log analysis selection screen.

You can analyze change logs for customizing objects (standard) or tables.

For customizing objects, the system only shows changes which were made within the selected customizing objects. If a table is in other customizing objects as well as in the selected customizing object, or it has been changed by a program, or for example by the transaction SE16, these other changes are not shown.

To show all changes to the tables in the selected customizing objects, set the "Append Table Changes" flag.

Use

You should set the "Append Table Changes" flag, particularly for revisions.

If a table is in several customizing objects, the list of appended table logs can be very long. You should not set the flag if you use the logging to monitor your customizing project.

Dependencies

For customizing objects, the analysis of change logs always runs when you call the analysis directly from the IMG or the customizing maintenance dialog.

If you run the analysis of change logs from the transaction SCU3 ( SAP menu --> Tools --> IMG --> IMG Logging), you can choose whether to analyze logs for customizing objects or ABAP Dictionary tables.

The flag is irrelevant for the analysis of tables.
