Definition

The UTC time stamp displays the date and time in relation to the UTC (Universal Time Coordinated).

To normalize local times in a UTC time stamp, thereby making them comparable, you must convert these by entering your time zone. To do so, you can use the ABAP command convert.

Even if the time zones based on this conversion can be redetermined from Customizing or master data we recommend saving the time zones a second time.

The internal structure of the UTC time zone is logically subdivided into a date and time part in numerical format <JJJJMMTThhmmss>. Furthermore you can use a UTC time stamp in long form (10^-7 seconds).
