Definition

Specifies whether the system automatically creates an asset master record when an equipment master record is created.

Use

The possible settings are:

  • No synchronization

    When the equipment is created, the system does not automatically create an asset master record. However, you can enter an asset master record manually.

  • Direct synchronization after saving

    When an equipment master record is created, the system automatically enters an asset in the equipment master record. Equipment master data (such as company code) is copied to the asset master record.

    Before saving the equipment, you can manually delete the asset from the equipment master record.

  • Saving triggers a workflow

    The system does not synchronize the master data, instead it triggers a workflow.

  • Direct synchronization plus workflow

    The system synchronizes the master data, and also triggers a workflow.

Dependencies

The system only synchronizes those master data fields for which a field assignment was made and activated in Customizing.
