From disposal processing in Waste Management, you can use SAP Warehouse Management in order, for example, to place wastes in storage automatically. This IMG activity describes the settings required for Waste Management that you must make in Customizing for Warehouse Management.

Recommendation

If different areas in your enterprise are responsible for Waste Management and Warehouse Management, the areas should agree on the settings for Customizing for Warehouse Management.

Activities

If you want to use Warehouse Management for wastes, check and complete the settings in Customizing for Warehouse Management, in particular the following IMG sections and activities:

Further notes

Note that in Waste Management, you can only use organizationsal structures that were specified in the IMG section Enterprise Structure.

The postings to Warehouse Management are made via the function module BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, the entries made in the IMG activity Define Storage Location Control being taken into account. No transport order is created in SAP Warehouse Management, and no putaway strategies are selected either, since posting is made immediately to the destination storage bin specified for posting.

Also ensure that additions to existing stock are permitted for the storage categories, and that mixed storage is allowed.

In the material master of the wastes for which you want to use Warehouse Management, you must enter the data required in the Warehouse Management 1 view (and if required in the Warehouse Management 2 view as well).
