Use
You can use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to influence the creation of document indexes for an item insales price calculation that differs from the settings for document index creation in Customizing for pricing. You can stipulate that no document index is to be created for a specific pricing item. This BAdI can also be used as a filter for the document indexes created in accordance with Customizing. This means that you can delete certain document indexes before the update.
For the check as to how you want to procede with document index creation, you can access pricing item data and master data connected with the pricing item (material, organizational level, vendor, and so on) that is transferred to method "CALC_ITEM_POST_CHECK" of this BAdI as import parameters.
Requirements
For this BAdI to be at all relevant, provision must be made for document index creation for a pricing item using the assigned pricing type.
Standard settings
The Business Add-In is not activated in the standard system. The creation of document indexes focuses exclusively on the aforementioned settings in Customizing for pricing.
Activities
Example
You want to exclude document index creation from pricing calculation for perishables, as the conditions of purchase change frequently for these materials and they must therefore be repriced daily in the course of perishables planning, for example.
