Use
In this Customizing activity, you can maintain a list of error messages relevant for service request creation in an application area.
- In the next Customizing activity Determine Service Request Attributes from Application Context, the specified error messages can then be used as source fields to prefill the service request attributes.
- If the application runs in SAP GUI, you can enhance the message text in the status line with a link that can be used to create the service request with a single click.
- If the application area allows automatic service request creation, you can activate the automatic creation for each message. In addition, you can define the aggregation level for the service request creation by defining the split criteria.
Requirements
The general precondition is that the selected application is enabled for creation of service requests based on error messages, and that the error message is defined as a possible source field for determining the service request attributes in BAdI: Set Source Field Values.
A precondition for automatic service request creation is the implementation of BAdI: Split Criteria for Automatic Service Request Creation. In addition, the application has to provide a program to create the service requests based on messages (either during an automatic process or after the process based on an application log).
