You can use the retrieval tool to search for reports using the documentation. You can run the search from within area menu maintenance (SE43) or role maintenance (PFCG).
Example
Requirements
You want to use the text retrieval tool to search for a report.
Standard settings
To use the text retrieval tool, you must first generate a specially-formatted lexicon using the report documentation.
Recommendation
The text retrieval tool extends the text dynamically so you do not need to regenerate the lexicon whenever you add new reports with documentation. The reports are listed in the hit list of a search.
Activities
To generate a lexicon, call Transaction SRTV_COMPILE and choose Generate lexicon. The system generates the lexicon in the background.
