Use
To post payment transactions to the SAP Collections and Disbursements system (FS-CD), you need an insurance object and the relevant contract account in FS-CD. If no such insurance object with the relevant contract exists, in this IMG activity you must define a sample template for the contract account for insurance object Contract. On the basis of this sample template, FS-CD creates an insurance object with the relevant contract account.
Make the following settings:
- Key of sample template
- Name of sample template
- Select a scenario predefined by the system. In doing so, you specify when a contract account is created for a contract, and to which insurance objects this contract account is assigned.
The following scenarios are available:
- All claims of a contract use the same contract account as the contract.
- All claims of a contract use the same contract account, but this is not identical to the contract account of the contract.
- There is a separate contract account for each claim.
- You can allow collective payments in the Claims Management system.
Note: The following fields are irrelevant if you create the FS-CD insurance objects and contract accounts through a policy system, and not through the claims management system:
- Contract creation variant
You thereby define the attributes of the contract account.
- Contract object category
You thereby define the standard attributes for the insurance object "Contract". When you create an insurance object "Contract" in the Claims Management system, these attributes are used.
- Enter the prefix for the insurance object for the contract.
In IMG activity Configure Policy Products you assign this sample template to a policy product version in the detail view. The sample template is then valid for the relevant version and generation of the policy product.

You have performed the following IMG activities in the Implementation Guide of SAP Insurance:
- Collections/Disbursements -> Basic Functions -> Insurance Object -> Account Creation Variant Settings -> Define Account Creation Variants
- Collections/Disbursements -> Basic Functions -> Insurance Object -> Define Insurance Object Categories
Standard settings
Note. The values in the Contract Creation Variant, Contract Object Category, and Contract Prefix fields are only used for the default implementation in Business Add-In (BAdI) Interface to Collections and Disbursements (ICLF_CD). If you create another implementation in this BAdI, these fields are not considered.
