Hit list settings
- Select default hit list
When displaying from the screen of the application document, you can choose from several display variants.
- Display documents directly
- Documents are displayed directly in the Document Viewer without appearing in a hit list.
- Simple hit list (standard setting):
- Hit list of the Generic Object Services. You can double-click to go directly to the Generic Object Services.
- Structured hit list:
- Business Document Navigator
- Technical hit list:
- ABAP List Viewer hit list
- Maximum number of documents
The number entered here only refers to the technical search in the administration transaction Document administration. The number of hits is limited to this value.
Display settings
- Windows Viewer settings
- Use ECL Control
- If you set this flag, ECL control is activated for displaying documents in the Document Viewer, in addition to HTML control (which is the default setting). ECL control can display documents in TIF and FAX formats, and is supplied by SAP.
- Activate Generic Object Services in the Viewer
If you set this flag, the Toolbox of the Generic Object Services is provided in the Document Viewer. The functions relate to the business object that is linked to the current document.
- Use own HTML page in the Viewer
If you set this flag, you define your own HTML page that can be used for displaying documents. This HTML page must be maintained in the table TOAJAVA.
Caution: This is a prototype development and should not be used without the express permission of SAP development.
Storage settings
- Always copy document class from document type
If you set this flag, the document class that is defined for the document type in customizing is entered in the link entry between the document and the business object.
If you do not set the flag, the system follows a new procedure: When linking the document and the business object, the document class of the document is determined using a check. The value determined is entered in the link entry. This setting enables you to assign documents of different document classes to one document type. The system always calls the appropriate display program.
- Permit multiple assignment
If you set this flag, a document that is already stored can be reassigned to a business object. After successfully storing a document and creating a work item, a user has the option to create a further work item for the same document. To do this, the button Assign appears in the dialog box when storing..
- Drag&Drop: Number of files before warning
The number entered here is used when entering documents using Drag&Drop technology. If the number of files selected using Drag&Drop exceeds the value specified here, a warning appears.
Additional settings
- Create event "ASSIGNED"
If you set the flag, the event ASSIGNED is generated when the document and the business object are linked. You can use this event to link a subsequent workflow, which is started by the event ASSIGNED, to the ArchiveLink workflow.
For performance reasons, it is possible to deactivate this function.
- Deactivate print list management in the DMS
If you set this flag, you deactivate the creation of a print list management record in the Document Management System (DMS) when storing.
If you do not set the flag, the print list management record is created in the DMS. The DMS is connected to SAP Classification. This means you can assign attributes of your choice to the print list and use them when searching.
