Content repositories are logical units within your storage system. There can be more than one content repository, for example, for dividing the information content either thematically or physically.
Use
Requirements
Your storage system must be connected to the ArchiveLink interface 4.5 or to the HTTP content server interface.
If you are using an RFC storage system, one RFC destination must be maintained pro server.
Standard settings
Activities
Choose full administration. More fields are displayed in full administration than in simple administration.
Enter the following data:
- Content repository
Two-digit identification number for the content repository
- Description
Description of content repository
- Document area
No entry necessary
- Storage type
Enter the storage type of your storage system. You have the following options:
- HTTP content server
- This is the storage type recommended by SAP. If you choose this storage type, you also need to send the SAP system certificate to the storage system. This function is available using the Send Certificate symbol. Sending certificates is required for working with signed URLs. After the certificate has been sent to the content server, it needs to be activated in the content server before you can use the content server and store documents.
- R/3 database
- Structure storage system
- RFC archive
- You can use the symbol Send RFC Info to send information from the SAP System to the RFC storage system.
If you choose the symbol Test Connection or Check, the system carries out a connection test for the content repository.
The remaining input fields and input help depend on the storage type.
- Log
Name of a log that you have created in the customizing activity Customizing Front End Communication -> Log Maintenance . A log can be used for more than one content repository.
Note: Only complete this field if you want to use front end communication that differs from the standard. For information on the standard setting, see the SAP Library under SAP Web Application Server -> Basis Services -> ArchiveLink -> Customizing Front End Communication.
- Version Number
Number of the ArchiveLink interface version implemented.
- HTTP server: Port (only for HTTP content server)
Address of the HTTP content server with port.
- HTTP script (only for HTTP content server)
Program in content server used for processing communication.
- RFC destination (only for RFC archive)
RFC destination for content server.
- Archive Path
Directory into which the files from the storage system are to be saved.
- Output device
Output device used by the spool to retrieve print lists and archive files (see Customizing Print Lists -> Spool Administration .
