Content repositories are logical units within your storage system. There can be more than one content repository, for example, for dividing the information content either thematically or physically.

Use

Requirements

Your storage system must be connected to the ArchiveLink interface 4.5 or to the HTTP content server interface.

If you are using an RFC storage system, one RFC destination must be maintained pro server.

Standard settings

Activities

Choose full administration. More fields are displayed in full administration than in simple administration.

Enter the following data:

  • Content repository

Two-digit identification number for the content repository

  • Description

    Description of content repository

  • Document area

    No entry necessary

  • Storage type

Enter the storage type of your storage system. You have the following options:

    • HTTP content server
    • This is the storage type recommended by SAP. If you choose this storage type, you also need to send the SAP system certificate to the storage system. This function is available using the Send Certificate symbol. Sending certificates is required for working with signed URLs. After the certificate has been sent to the content server, it needs to be activated in the content server before you can use the content server and store documents.
    • R/3 database
    • Structure storage system
    • RFC archive
    • You can use the symbol Send RFC Info to send information from the SAP System to the RFC storage system.

If you choose the symbol Test Connection or Check, the system carries out a connection test for the content repository.

The remaining input fields and input help depend on the storage type.

  • Log

Name of a log that you have created in the customizing activity Customizing Front End Communication -> Log Maintenance . A log can be used for more than one content repository.
