Use
You can define scenarios for product data replication. A scenario displays the usage of ALE distribution packets within an application.
You can define the assignments of packet type to partner system for each scenario.
Customer-specific scenarios must be stored in either the Y or Z namespaces.
If you need different packet types for a logical recipient, for example, because you want to limit the quantity of recipient objects, you can use this setting to make an assignment of packet types to partner systems on a client-specific basis.
Requirements
You have made the Customizing settings for UPS:
- Execute Central Settings for Distribution
- Define Object Types
- Define Packet Type
- ALE Distribution Unit: Setup
Standard settings
Activities
To create a scenario with packet types assigned to partner systems, proceed as follows:
- Change to change mode.
- Select Scenario Definition in the dialog structure.
- Choose New Entries and specify a key for a new scenario.
- Select the new scenario, and choose Language-Dependent Short Text for Scenario Definition in the dialog structure.
- Enter a short text and a language key.
- Choose Assign Packet Type to Logical System.
- Enter a partner system.
- Assign a packet type.
- Save your entries.
