Use
If you change an employee's shift in the target or actual plan, that is, you replace the daily work schedule with another one, the system creates a substitution record in the Substitutions infotype (2003). If you delete the substitution and reenter the original shift from the Planned Working Time infotype (0007), the current data record remains as a substitution in infotype 2003.
Depending on how you set this switch, the system deletes the data record in the Substitutions infotype (2003) after the following activities:
- You enter the original shift in the shift plan overview.
- On the Shift During Period dialog box, you choose the Restore original shifts function on the Changes by field.
The system then restores the daily work schedule according to the work schedule rule in the Planned Working Time infotype (0007).
Requirements
Standard settings
Restoration of original shifts is not activated in the standard system.
Activities
You have the following options:
- Entry = X in the Value abbr. field:
You can use the Restore original shifts function in the Changes by field on the Shift during period dialog box. If you choose this option, the system deletes the following data records in the chosen period: - Records of the Substitutions infotype (2003)
- Records of the Attendances infotype (2002)
- Records of the Absences infotype (2001) that are ready for input
Only additional shifts, such as partial-day attendances and absences, remain intact. In this case, the system deletes the data records even if additional attributes such as different cost center assignments or payments are stored in them.
Caution
The system also deletes data records that may be relevant for time accounts and payroll.
- Entry = D in the Value abbr. field:
Whenever you reenter an original shift in the target or actual plan, the system deletes the corresponding substitution record in the Substitutions infotype (2003). If a different cost center assignment or payment is linked to a substitution, the system does not delete the substitution record. - Entry = A in the Value abbr. field:
Combination of X and D. Both options are available. You can restore the original daily work schedule by choosing the Restore original shifts function, with the above-mentioned consequences. However, you can also enter the original shift in the shift plan overview, which means that the substitution records are also deleted, as long as no different cost information is stored.
