In this step, you can define the countries for which taxes on services are to be calculated for each service line individually and those for which this is not the case.
- If you set the "Taxes at service (line) level" indicator, taxes will be calculated at the level of the individual service (job or task).
- If you do not set this indicator, the taxes will be set at item level (i.e. as a blanket sum for the complete set of service specifications).
The tax code and the tax jurisdiction code are set not only at item level but also at service line level because the individual services belonging to a set of service specifications may be taxable at different rates. This is the rule in countries with jurisdiction-dependent taxes (jurisiction code).
