You can schedule bulk movements that transfer product from one location on a transport system to another location on another transport system. Here you can define which default schedule item type and document indicator the system is to use during Three-Way Pegging, Stock Projection, or Location Balancing.
To schedule this kind of product movement, the system must schedule the transfer of product at the junction of the the two transport systems, that is, from one "from transport system" to another "to transport system", and then finally discharge to the destination location. This movement can be purchase or sale or transfer.
Example
Product is being moved from one location to another through two pipelines. The pipelines are connected via a location (junction) and the product is being pumped from one pipeline into another. The system represents the direction of the product movement using two transport systems for the pipelines and using "to" and "from" locations that are assigned to the transport systems.
