In marine scheduling, a contract usually contains laytime information, that is, the terms and agreements for amount of time the vessel is allowed to spend at a location and the subsequent demurrage rate to be charged when the time is exceeded. Additionally, the contract contains the terms and agreements on how to handle events that can influence laytime, such as delays due to bad weather or equipment out of service on shore.
Here you define laytime terms that the system then proposes as defaults when you create or change contracts. This is particularly helpful when you frequently use the same or similar laytime terms. For each laytime term code, you specify start and end events for laytime determination and events that can influence laytime . When you create or change a contract, you enter a laytime term code and the system automatically enters the laytime terms into the contract. You can change the laytime terms in the contract.
