You configure the data download for material master data so that also excise tax related attributes are included.
Excise tax and excise duty are used synonymously in this text.
For the data download of the material master data in SAP Oil & Gas to the product master data in SAP CRM, BDoc technology is used. Excise tax attributes are included in this data download by calling user exits during processing of outbound function calls. For the configuration of these user exits, Business Transaction Event technology is used.
Example
Requirements
You must configure a connection between SAP CRM and SAP Oil & Gas using transaction SM59.
Standard settings
If you perform the activities mentioned below, this automatically leads to the standard setup.
Recommendation
Perform this activity only if you want to use excise tax handling in a scenario integrating SAP CRM (4.0 or higher) with SAP Oil & Gas.
Activities
- To activate the Business Configuration Set OIL_ETAX_MAT_BTE_CROSS_CLIENT in the client, in which cross client settings can be done, perform the following steps:
- Call transaction SCPR20.
- Enter OIL_ETAX_MAT_BTE_CROSS_CLIENT.
- Choose Compare with system tables and variable query. It is correct that in table TPS32 an existing entry for CRM0_200 is replaced by an entry with different values for function module name (PI_PROCESS_CRM0_200_OIL_MAT), for partner and for product.
For all other table entries carefully check that no entry has the same key as in the BC Set, but a different data part. If there is no such conflict, continue with the next step. Otherwise, analyze the consequences if the existing entry is overwritten by the BC set entry. - To transfer the BC set entries to the corresponding tables, choose Put BC Set in Customizing tables .
- If Customzing changes are recorded, choose the appropiate Customizing request.
- Choose Overwrite All Data and Default Mode Recommended and choose Enter.
- To activate the Business Configuration Set OIL_ETAX_MAT_BTE_CLIENT_SPECIFIC in the client, which is connected with the SAP CRM system, perform the following steps:
- Call transaction SCPR20.
- Enter OIL_ETAX_MAT_BTE_CLIENT_SPECIFIC.
- Choose Compare with system tables and variable query. Carefully check that no table has an entry that has the same key as in the BC Set, but a different data part.
