You define how the external excise tax rates are mapped to condition rates.
You still maintain external tax rates in Customizing for the Tariffs, Duties and Permits (TDP) component by choosing Excise Duty Rates -> External Rates -> Set/maintain external rates.
Excise tax and excise duty are used synonymously in this text.
When new external tax rates (table OIH01) are saved, condition rates in one or more condition tables can also be created in the background. These condition rates are then automatically replicated in the corresponding condition table(s) in SAP CRM and used for excise tax handling in SAP CRM.
One record in table OIH01 can contain up to six different external tax rates. A condition table can contain only one (tax) rate per record. Therefore from one OIH01 record, up to six records per condition table must be created. For the mapping, an additional key must be introduced in the condition table. Condition types are used for this purpose.
In this activity you define in detail how condition rates are created in the background. You need the following information:
- The number of the pricing condition table in SAP Oil & Gas that you want to use for that purpose
- The six names of conditon types that you want to use
- The name of the function module, which converts the values of the key fields of OIH01 with the values of the key fields of the condition table
Example
Requirements
You must define the condition type names you want to use in Customizing for Sales and Distribution by choosing Basic Functions -> Pricing -> Pricing Control -> Define Condition Types.
Standard settings
There is no standard set-up for the name of the condition types .
The entries for the number of the pricing condition table and the conversion function module name mean that you need repository objects with the corresponding names.
The following defaults correspond to repository objects, which are delivered by SAP within the SAP Oil & Gas component:
- The number of the pricing condition table is 419
- The name of the conversion function module is OIH01_CONVERT_TO_COND
If you want to choose different entries, this means additional design and implementation effort for the corresponding repository objects. The details of the required steps are described in Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) by choosing Integration with Customer Relationship Management -> Excise Tax -> Map Excise Tax Rates to Rates in Customer-Defined Condition Table
Recommendation
Perform this activity only if you want to use excise tax handling in a scenario integrating SAP CRM (4.0 or higher) with the SAP Oil & Gas.
Use the pricing condition table A419 and the conversion function module OIH01_CONVERT_TO_COND to avoid additional design and implementation effort.
Choose the condition type names, which are four characters long, in such a way that the last character is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 and enter these names so that the condition type <aaa1> is entered in field CoT1, <aaa2> in field CoT2 and so on.
For example, use condition types EXD1, EXD2, EXD3, EXD4, EXD5, and EXD6 as the targets for the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth tax rate of a OIH01 record.
Activities
- In Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream), choose Integration with Customer Relationship Management -> Excise Tax -> Select Maintain Rule for Mapping External Excise Tax Rates to Condition Rates.
- Choose New Entries.
- Enter the condition table number, the names for the six condition types and the conversion function module name.
- Choose Save.
