In this Implementation Guide (IMG) activity you define performance rules and their attributes so that the employee's performance appraisal can be used as an additional criterion in the eligibility process.
Example
You want to award a bonus to persons who have been awarded a specific performance rating. To do this, you can define a performance rule and definition that can then be entered in the appropriate eligibility rule.
Requirements
Standard settings
Recommendation
Activities
- Determine which performance rules you want to define
- Choose New entries
- Enter a key and a text for your performance rule
- If you want to use appraisal results stored in the Personnel Development Appraisal Systems, enter an appraisal model. If you leave this field empty, the system reads the results from the employee's Appraisals (0025) infotype data record.
- Enter a key date and month and specify whether the system is to use the previous year as the calculation year.
- Choose Definition in the navigation area and then choose New entries to access the rule's detail screen
- Enter the relevant performance appraisal results
Note
On the detail screen for your rule, you can define the rule's validity in such a way that, you can either define a low to high, meaning that all the employees whose performance falls between the low and high values are eligible, or you can just define a low, meaning that only the employees who have that performance results are eligible.
Example
Low High
75 100
In this instance, all those whose performance results are between 75 and 100 qualify.
Low
500
In this instance, only those employees with a performance result of 500 qualify.
- Save your entries
Further notes
If you use the Objective Setting and Appraisals component (PA-PD-PM) as of SAP R/3 Enterprise HR Extension 1.10 (EA-HR 110), you can also include criteria from that component in Compensation Management. In that case you must maintain the view cluster V_T71D5CL_B (Appraisal Rule) in the View Cluster Maintenance transaction (SM34).
