In this step, you define the wage type models that are used for your compensation adjustment types. The wage type model determines which wage types are used for the compensation adjustment type.

A wage type model can be made up of one or more wage types.

Example

The wage type model "MERIT" allows the following wage types:

  • CM01 Merit increase
  • CM02 Promotion
  • CM03 Adjustment

Activities

  1. Enter the compensation area in the Define Work Area dialog box
  2. Choose New entries and enter a name for your wage type model, for example, MERIT
  3. Select your wage type model and choose Wage types from the navigation area
  4. On the subsequent screen:
    1. Choose New entries
    2. Enter a validity period
    3. Enter a wage type

Note

If you want to assign more than one wage type to your wage type model, enter a sequential number

  1. Enter a guideline, if required
  2. If you want to be able to determine how the adjustment type is rounded, enter a rounding type and specify how exact the rounding should be.

  1. Save your entries
  2. Repeat steps 1 to 5 until you have entered all the wage type models that you need.
