Document Name SIMG_ISHMED_TN2KUM04

Here you can specify additional processing steps for the transfer of laboratory data.

The assigning is done via Institution and OU. The following entries are possible:

  • Institution

Entering * means that the Customizing entry is valid for all IS-H institutions.
A specific entry means that the reference is made via the institution where the patient is located and which is transmitted from the lab system.

  • Documenting OU

Entering * means that the Customizing entry is valid for all OUs.
A specific entry means that the reference is made via the OU that transmits the lab system as the documenting OU (performing OU) , and with which the document is created in the i.s.h.med document management system.

  • Change of request status when releasing orders indicator

    Prerequisites:

    • Electronic request from i.s.h.med
    • Use of request ID or request number as lab order number

After the whole order is released, all the services of the i.s.h.med request will be set to status 'completed'. If errors occur during the status change, the system generates a batch input session with the name ISHMSERV_ERR.

All services in the request must be performable. The system does not check whether the lab system has actually performed all the services.

If the lab system cancels an order and communicates the appropriate message, the system then also cancels the i.s.h.med request.

  • Create history records for corrected values indicator

If the lab system recorrects values that have already been released, then a history value is created for the available value (status = 'H') and the correction record is created with status 'C'.

History records are only visible in the document itself and are not displayed in the cumulative finding.

  • Delete unreleased values when releasing orders indicator

    Indicator is set:

If the whole order is released by the lab system, then all lab values that have not been released are deleted, i.e. those that do not have status 'F', 'C' or 'H'.

  • Process text modules

Some lab systems use text modules to mark the values field.

For this, the data must be correctly transmitted. In the message text field the fourth character must be ';'.

    E.g.: <NTE|||mK ;Value with check>

The identifier 'mK' is inserted in the result field to the right of the value.

The identifier and the descriptor are displayed as the key in the general comments of the document.

  • Use the i.s.h.med request ID as the order number indicator
    • Indicator is set:
    • For the electronic request from i.s.h.med, the system uses the unique request ID as the order number.
The transfer of this number takes place in HL7 segment ORC in field 2 (Placer Order Number).
    • Indicator is not set:
    • The i.s.h.med request number is used as the order number. To make it unique, the request category must also be transferred.
The transfer also takes place in the HL7 field ORC-2 in the form <RequestNo.^RequestCategory>.

If the order number is allocated from the lab system or by a document, then this Customizing entry is not necessary, because the number will then be transferred in the HL7 field ORC-3.

  • Delete document when canceling order indicator

If an order is canceled in the lab, then it is also possible to cancel a document in i.s.h.med that has already been created.

    Prerequisite:

The lab system transmits a message (Ntp ORU) with the entry 'CA' (Order Canceled) in the field ORC-5.

    Processing

    • Indicator is set:
    • The document is given a deletion indicator. It can then no longer be seen in the document list and in the cumulative findings.
    • Indicator is not set
    • All the values of the document are deleted. The document itself however still exists in the system.
