You can define diagnosis assignment types for creating the hierarchies of diagnosis coding catalogs or keyword catalogs in your institution.
The diagnosis assignment type is used for structuring hierarchic catalogs and keyword catalogs.
By using different diagnosis assignment types you can represent several hierarchic structures based on a single catalog.
By entering a source and target catalog, you specify that only diagnoses or keywords from these catalogs can be used when this diagnosis assignment type is assigned.
Example
You want to structure diagnosis coding catalog 07 hierarchically, and you want to use diagnosis assignment type HIR.
- Ins.: 1
- DAT.: HIR
- Descrip.: Kat.07
- M: G
- DC: 07
- DC: 07
If you want to use the hierarchic catalog for maintaining diagnoses (transaction NP61) and you choose Hierarch. Catalog, enter HIR in the Diagnose Assignment Type field.
