Use
In this IMG activity you define for each node category of the overview tree how an individual node should appear.
Make the following settings:
Level of Icon/Text for Icon
- Enter the name of the icon that should be displayed for the corresponding node in the overview tree.
- Enter the text that should be displayed next to the icon in the overview tree.
You have the following options:
- You can enter a text of your own choice.
- You can enter variables.
- To do so, choose @4M@ with the quick info text Add Variable. For example, you can define the variable Number of Policy in FS-PM for the node category Policy.
- At runtime the variable is filled with the corresponding value.
- Note: The possible variables are defined in the data structure for the relevant node category. You can see which data structure has been defined for which node category in IMG activity Enhance Node Categories for Overview Tree in Policy Snapshot.
- You can enter a combination of user-defined text and variables.
Level of Description per Node
In the overview tree, a description for the relevant node is displayed for each node in addition to the icon and text. You can freely configure this descriptive part here.
You have the following options:
- You can also define one or more fields from the data structure that is assigned to the relevant node category.
These fields act as variables and are filled with the corresponding values at runtime.
- You can store one or multiple user-defined texts.
- By way of the sequence you define the order in which the defined fields and user-defined texts should be displayed.
- By way of the field length you can restrict the output length of the structure fields and of the user-defined texts. If you do not specify either a structure field or a user-defined text, but you enter a field length, the subsequent fields or user-defined texts are shifted to the right in accordance with the specified field length. This means that you can indent the descriptive part for the individual node categories.
Example:
For node category Insured Object (Person) you define the following fields from the associated data structure ICL_POLS_TREE_PERS_S_UI:
- PARTNER (for business partner number)
- HOUSE_NUM1 (for house number)
- STREET (for street)
- CITY1 (for city or location)
- POST_CODE1 (for postal or zip code of city)
Via the Sequence field you can control that the fields are displayed in the above specified sequence. Via the user-defined text you can control that certain specifications are separated from one another where it makes sense, such as house number and street from location and postal or zip code. To make this separation clear, you can enter a / (slash) in the User-Defined Text field.
The node category Insured Object (Person) would then appear as follows, for example, at runtime:
- Icon/Text:
@A0@ (Icon) Peter Miller (Text)
- Descriptive Part:
16724/ 3 Webber Street/ Raleigh NC 28278
"16724" is the business partner number of Peter Miller, "/" is a user-defined entry, "3 Webber Street" denotes the house number and street, "/" again is a user-defined entry, and " Raleigh NC 28278" are the town and zip code.
