Use
In this IMG activity you define the permitted types of damaged/insured object for each category of insured object and each damage category.
The category of insured object and the damage category are used analogously. The object category refers to the insured object, and the damage category to the damaged object.
The object types form a further grouping option within the object category or damage category.
Note:
When you define an object type for claim items (IMG activity Define Object Types of Claim Items) this object type is automatically transferred to the entries ( view) of the IMG activity Define Types of Damaged or Insured Object and assigned to the damage category Item or object category Home Contents & Equipment (PE).
The object type of the claim items is a special form of the object type of the insured object, but it refers exclusively to the damage category of Item (PE).
Requirements
If you want to use damage categories that are not delivered as standard by SAP, you must have created them in IMG activity Enhance Damage Categories.
