Use
In this IMG activity you define benefit types. If you want to create a claim item or a payment item during claims processing, you must enter either a benefit type or a benefits catalog item.
Make the following settings for a benefit type:
- Key of benefit type
- Name of benefit type
- State whether the benefit type is for compensation (losses) or expenses.
- State whether the benefit type is cross coverage type
- You can specify a default value for the category of insured object.
- You can specify a default value for the type of insured object.
- You can assign the benefit type to a benefit type area and thereby group multiple benefit types.
In IMG activity Configure Benefit Type Trees you assign the benefit types defined here to a benefit type tree and thereby create a hierarchy of permitted benefit types.
Requirements
If you want to assign the benefit type to a benefit type area, you must have executed IMG activity Define Benefit Type Areas.
