Use
In this IMG activity you define the number ranges for claim bundles.
If the claim handler enters a number when creating a claim bundle, the program checks whether this number is contained in one of the number ranges with external number assignment. If the claim handler does not enter a number, the program creates the claim bundle with the next free number in the first number range with internal assignment.
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
You should never import number ranges with internal number assignment into a live client. Number levels with a lower value are overwritten, meaning that the program tries to create objects that already exist.
Requirements
Standard settings
SAP supplies one number range with external assignment, and one with internal assignment.
Activities
Check and, if necessary, change the existing number ranges.
