Use
You can use this IMG activity to deactivate the fund, functional area, and grant account assignment elements in Controlling (CO) and Asset Accounting (FI-AA).
You should only to this if you want to test the Budget Control System (BCS) or Grants Management (GM) in your test system.
If you want to use the BCS and may want to use funds, functional areas, and grants as account assignment elements, you need to activate them in the IMG activity Activate Account Assignment Elements. If you want to use GM, you must activate funds, grants, and, if required, functional areas. However, be aware that activating an account assignment element means that account assignments must be made in CO and FI-AA. Deactivating an activated account assignment element for CO and FI-AA means that you can test implementation of GM or the BCS without the test's having any effect on business processes in CO or FI-AA.
Requirements
Activate an account assignment element was activated, no postings or planning were conducted in that element.
