When setting up the data transfer, the fiscal year variant for consolidation must be specified in the operational sender system. In that system's Implementation Guide for Consolidation, see the step Integration: Preparation for Consolidation -> Preparations in Sender System -> Preparation and Activation of the Data Transfer -> Activate Data Transfer.
Hence, the respective departments of the operational sender systems must be notified of the fiscal year variant for consolidation.
