In this activity, you assign templates to the profit centers.

If you are using formula planning, the plan data for a profit center is calculated using the template assigned to it.

Requirements

You habe maintained the corresponding template under Define Templates.

Activities

Assignment of profit center master data using collective processing:

If you carry out this activity (Assign Templates to Profit Centers), you automatically go to profit center master data collective processing. Here, you can assign a template to a large number of profit centers in one step.

  • Specify the profit centers (including the controlling area and period of validity) to which you want to assign a template.
  • Choose the tab page Profit Center Master Data Table.
  • Choose View -> Choose Fields to include the field Formula planning template.
  • You can now make the required assignments, in accordance with the rules of collective processing. For a detailled description of this procedure, see the SAP Library for Profit Center Accounting, under Basic Functions -> Master Data -> Profit Center-> Displaying/Changing Master Data (Collective Processing).

Assignment of profit center master data using individual processing:

In the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Profit Center Accounting, choose Master Data -> Profit Center -> Maintain Profit Center.

For the profit center you want to assign, enter the name of the required template on the Indicatortab page.
