The menu option Tools -> Report Writer in the Profit Center Accounting application menu takes you to the FI-SL Report Writer, where you can define your own reports to supplement the standard ones.

You can process the following with the Report Writer:
- reports
- report groups
- parallel reports
- libraries
- standard layouts (8A-ECPC for Profit Center Accounting)

The options for maintaining sets are under the menu "Set maintenance".
You can process the above objects in the following ways:
- create
- change
- display
- delete

Note
The standard reports and report groups were created using the Report Writer.
Profit Center Accounting as a standard screen for report selection (see also the release note EC-PCA: New features in the information system). If you want to use this selection screen for your own Report Writer reports as well, you need to meet certain requirements:
- The report has to have been created for table GLPCT.
- No more than 2 value variables can be used for the characteristic "Plan price version" or "Fixed price version" (RVERS).
- No more than 4 value variables can be used in the report for the characteristic "Period" (RPMAX).
- No more than 4 value variables can be used in the report for the characteristic "Fiscal year" (RYEAR).
- There must be one variable for either the controlling area (KOKRS) or the company code (RBUKRS).
- The characteristic "Profit center" must be used in the report.
- The characteristic "Revenue/cost element" or "Balance sheet account" must also be used, and can only have up to two set variables.
