In this step, you specify how the kanbans are displayed on the kanban board. You can:

  • Specify the labeling of the kanbans
  • Specify whether the kanbans of a supply area are displayed in one row or whether the row is broken if not all kanbans can be displayed in one row

  • Define the priority according to which the kanbans are sorted
    • Kanban ID number (PKKEY)
    • Sorting according to the kanban number that is unique across control cycles
    • Kanban number (PKPOS)
    • Sorting according to the kanban number that is unique within a control cycle
    • Kanban status
    • Sorting according to the kanban status
    • Last change
    • Sorting according to the date on which the status of the kanban was last changed
    • Actual quantity
    • Sorting according to kanban content

You can make these settings for both the demand source view and as the supply source view.

Activities

  1. Starting from Kanban Customizing, choose Kanban Board -> Define Kanban Display on the Kanban Board.
  2. Choose the view for which you want to make the settings and choose Continue.

    This takes you to the Change Kanban Display screen.

  3. Specify whether and how the kanbans are to be labeled.
  4. Specify whether the rows with the kanbans are to be broken.
  5. Define the sort criteria for the kanbans. For example, a '1' for Kanban Status and a '2' for Kanban Number means that the kanbans are sorted first by status and then by numbers.
  6. Specify whether kanbans are to be sorted in ascending or descending order.
  7. Save your settings.
