There are four netural reserve fields included in the shipment document that you can define and use specifically for your installation.

You can find these fields in the transportation screen Header: General Data on the tab page Addit. data. The fields Addition 1 to Addition 4 are freely defineable additional data fields, for which the following data elements are created:

  • VTTK_ADD01 = Addition 1
  • VTTK_ADD02 = Addition 2
  • VTTK_ADD03 = Addition 3
  • VTTK_ADD04 = Addition 4

In this activity you can specify freely defineable values for these fields.

Example

For your shipment cost settlement with the forwarding agent, you need to note in the shipping document that extras had to be used for the shipment. The forwarding agent requires an additional fee for these extras. You could use the first additional field to mark this shipment as a shipment with extras by defining values for hydraulic lifts, refridgeration units, etc. as follows:

  1. Change the data element VTTK_ADD01:
    • Change the short description Addition 1 to Extras.
    • Change the corresponding keywords.
  2. Activate the data element VTTK_ADD01.
  3. In this activity, deterimine the following values in Maintain additional data 1:
    • Hydraulic lift
    • Refridgeration unit
    • Upolstery
  4. You also want to change the name of the activity Maintain additional data 1 to Define extras, so you enter transaction SOBJ, select table view VTADD01 and the corresponding subobject 00000001. You then double-click on the subobject, which takes you to its detail screen, where you substitute the text Define extras for Maintain additional data 1 in the Short text line.

Recommendation

SAP recommends using these existing fields for individual adaptations. Avoid including other new fields, if possible.

Activities

  1. Using the Data Dictionary, change the short descriptions and the respective texts of some or all of the follwing data elements: VTTK_ADD01, VTTK_ADD02, VTTK_ADD03 or VTTK_ADD04. Each field then has the desired meaning.
  2. Activate the modified data elements.
  3. To change the activity description in Customizing, enter transaction SOBJ. Then position the cursor on the table view VTADD01, VTADD02, VTADD03 or VTADD04. Select subobject 00000001 for each view and change the short text in the respective detail screen.
