In this IMG activity you define the sales document type for the value contract and the contract release order to the value contract.
Standard settings
Two contract types have been defined for the value contract in the standard system:
- Value contract WK1
For this value contract type, you can specify a product hierarchy or a product proposal module. This contract type will always be proposed if you wish to create a value contract for several materials, or a certain group of materials. All the materials that are in the appropriate product proposal module, or that belong to the specified product hierarchy can then be released.
If you do not enter a product proposal module or a product hierarchy in a value contract, then all materials can be released. - Value contract WK2 (material-related)
This value contract type is mainly for contracts that have one material that is usually configurable.
If the value contract is to be billed, then WA is defined as the contract release type. Otherwise you can use a standard order for the release.
You can make the usual sales document settings for value contracts and contract releases.
You should pay particular attention to the following settings with regard to value contracts:
Settings for value contract type
- SD document category
Choose a sales document category for contracts. - Screen sequence group
If you defined different value contract types (e.g. value contract type material-related and not material-related), then it is important that you set the correct screen sequence for each. - Document pricing procedure
Enter the document pricing procedure for finding the pricing procedure for value contracts. A pricing procedure is needed for value contracts because it contains the condition for the agreed target value. - Order-related billing type
If you wish to bill the value contract, enter the type for billing contracts here. - Pricing procedure condition - header/item
You only need to set a pricing procedure for contract conditions, if contract data are permitted in the value contract (e.g. for value contract WK2, material-related).
Activities
- Check how much you can use the value contract types and the contract release type that were delivered with the SAP standard system.
- If necessary adjust the specifications in the detail screen to meet your requirements.
