In this menu option, you can enter an item category group for each material type. This item category group is proposed when you create a material master record of this material type. The default value can be changed manually in the material master record.
The system determines the item category from the item category group of the material and the sales document type during document processing. You assign item categories to sales order types and item category groups in a separate setting. Further information on this can be found in the section "Allocating Item Categories".
Action
Enter an item category group for all material types, for which a corresponding proposal is to be made when a material master record is created.
