A selection profile determines the sets to be used in structuring different selection screens.
You can specify the following sets:
- The work center set specifies the criteria which should be taken into account when selecting a work center (Application menu "Selection" -> "Work center").
- The order set specifies the criteria which should be taken into account when selecting networks (Application menu "Selection" -> "Order").
- The capacity set specifies the criteria which should be taken into account when selecting capacities (Application menu "Selection" -> "Capacity category").
- The initial set specifies the criteria which should be taken into account immediately when calling up capacity evaluation.
In addition, a time interval (start/finish) is defined in the selection profile. The capacity requirements which fall into this time interval are processed.
You define this time interval with a day counter which always relates to the current day.
Example
The initial set specifies which selection is carried out immediately after calling up the evaluation. For example, a set contains plant "0001" and a variable work center. The SAP System displays a field for entering a work center but you can no longer change the plant. Plant "0001" is always selected. The selected plant is displayed in the selection list.
This example deals with a multi set because two different fields are involved.
Requirements
You must have processed the menu option "Define sets".
Default Settings
Selection profiles are pre-defined in the Standard SAP System. You can use them in the information system to evaluate capacity requirements for all objects in a project.
All selection profiles for the information system start with "SAPPIS*".
Recommendations
You should use these selection profiles for standard evaluations.
Actions
Define the selection profiles.
