In this step, you define the system-internal number range for service specifications.
In the system, just one number is assigned to each set of service specifications. This number is only used internally by the system: it does not appear on the user interface.
Standard settings
The following number range is predefined in the SAP System:
- 0000000001 to 2000000000
Recommendation
SAP advises you to work with the standard system supplied. In this case, you need take no action.
Activities
Define the number ranges.
Note on transport
The settings for the number ranges are not covered by the automatic transport facility.
Number range objects can be transported as follows:
On the initial screen, choose "Interval -> Transport".
Make sure that all the intervals of the chosen number range object are first deleted in the target system, so that only the exported intervals exist following the import. The number levels are imported with the value that they have at the time of the export.
Dependent tables are neither transported nor converted.
