If you want to redefine column headers, you must first define a customer-specific header type. You can do this in the Define Your Own Header Type activity.
Where you have to enter this header type depends partly on the SAP standard settings, and partly on whether the new headings are to be valid for all search tools of a search node within an object manager scenario, or only for individual search tools.
You can see the SAP standard search tools of a search node in the view V77FSEAT.
If, in this view, there is a header type saved for a search tool, and if you want to change it, you must transfer the relevant entry from step 2 (Redefine Column Headings in Specific Search Tool) into the appropriate fields and enter the new header type.
If, in the above-mentioned view, none of the search tools whose header type you want to change has an SAP standard header type assigned to it, and if you want the new column headers to be valid for all search tools of a search node within an object manager scenario, then all you have to do is go to step 1 (Redefine Column Headers Across Search Tools) and specify the new header type once for all search tools assigned to the search node.
Activities
- In the Redefine Column Headers Across Search Tools step, make the following settings:
- Make all field entries except for the header type according to the SAP standard settings in the view T77FNODORD.
- In the Redefine Column Headers in Specific Search Tools step, make the following settings:
- Make all field entries except for the header type according to the SAP standard entries in the view V77FSEAT.
Further notes
- You only need to perform the two steps in the Define Your Own Header Type activity before the steps mentioned above if you want to create a new header type. If you can use an existing header type, you can leave out the two steps.
- If the Set/Get parameter OM_OBJM_SCEN_DISPLAY is set, the system displays in the search area which object manager scenario is active in an instance of the object manager.
- You can see the standard SAP search nodes for an object manager scenario in the view T77FNODORD.
- If the Set/Get parameter OM_ARRAYTYPE_DISPLAY is set, you can get information about which column group in a structural or list display is currently being displayed and which columns are assigned to this column group by choosing Technical Info.
