Further notes

For hierarchy framework scenarios which support Undo/Redo of changes to data you can enter the maximum number of steps to be executed without saving. If you reach the maximum number of steps, the system asks you to save the data (but you can also decide not to). In this context, a Step means a user interaction with data changes, so not every data record modification counts as a step, since one user interaction can create or change several data records in one go.
