In this work step, you define which units of measurement you want to use as proportion units. You can assign a dimension to these proportion units.

Example

You want to work with a material that has an active ingredient proportion. The base unit of measure for the material is kilograms (kg). You thus use kilogram of active ingredient (kai) as unit of measure for the active ingredient proportion.

Requirements

The units of measurement you work with in active ingredient management must already exist in the system. Check the existing units of measurement and define new ones if necessary in the work step Check units of measurement.

Standard settings

The following proportion units are available in the standard as examples:

  • Kilogram of active ingredient (kai)
  • Gram of active ingredient (gai)
  • Milliliter of active ingredient (mli)
  • Enzyme units (ue)

Recommendation

Activities

  • Enter the key for a dimensionless unit of measure (kai, for example).
  • Enter the key for the reference unit of measure (kg for kai, for example, or take the default value if you do not wish to assign one).
