In this IMG activity, you assign services to treatment categories for a particular institution. When you assign a case to a treatment category, the system proposes the services assigned to this treatment category for this case in the service entry transaction.
When the treatment category of a case is changed (when the patient is transferred, for example), the system automatically adjusts the services of the case in accordance with the settings made here. This, however, only applies if the user has not changed the services manually.
Example
For the treatment categories (see above)
- N you could specify BNC (base nursing charge)
- P1B you could specify BNC and PI1B (private-room surcharge)
- P1T you could specify BNC, PI1B and PITEL (telephone)
- PAT1 you could specify PAT (flat rate charge for pre-adm. treatment)
- PAT2 you would not specify a service, etc.

Activities
You assign a service to a treatment category by making entries in the fields:
Note: Enhancement N1200001 lets you change the services that were generated by a treatment category.
Further notes
Country Version Germany:
In general, you should not generate the departmental per diem using a treatment category. You should store it for the respective organizational units.
