Here you specify which events are assigned to which applications.

The events control whether and in what way

  • functions of the (SAP) applications Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO) and Materials Management (MM) are called,
  • Messages are sent to non-SAP systems,
  • Work organizers are output.

Example

Whenever you call certain Patient Management or Patient Accounting programs, the programs report predefined events to subsequent programs. In relation to further controls, forms are then printed, messages dispatched to non-SAP systems or a customer account is created in Financial Accounting.

Activities

The entries in this activity are predefined by SAP and should not be changed. They are always maintained by SAP.

Standard settings

  • The application class for IS-H is N.
  • Events affecting Financial Accounting are assigned to the application FI.
  • Events affecting Controlling are assigned to the application CO.
  • Events affecting Materials Management are assigned to the application MM.
  • No application is specified for events affecting IS-H (work organizer and message output).

Further notes

  • The application specified here must match that used in the Application - System assignment table.

    Reference: Configure events.

  • Certain events support the output of work organizers. These settings set up the list of possible work organizers. They are predefined by SAP and you cannot change them.

You find these settings in the activity Assign events to work organizer types (SAP preset) of the Implementation Guide.

You can limit the list of work organizers per event to specific work organizers. You make these settings in the activity Assign events to work organizer types (customer) of the Implementation Guide.

  • Certain events trigger messages to non-SAP systems. You can specify which events trigger which messages.

You find these settings in the section Message segments of the Implementation Guide.
