In this step you define product variants.
Example
Some bank products may be based on bank transactions which have both fixed and variable terms. Due to this difference, you have to assign the transactions different costing rules.
Do not try to reflect these transactions with fixed and variable terms in the hierarchy of the product catalog. Instead, define the product variants Fixed and Variable.
Requirements
You must be in possession of a product catalog which is valid for your bank.
Activities
- Assign the product variant a unique alphanumeric key in the ProdVar field and a name in the Product variant field (New entries).
- Save your entries.
Additional information
You can use the product variant to assign different costing rules to a bank product. See "Product assignment".
