In this step you transfer the entries from the sample company code to your own company code. In particular, this process copies all company code-dependent tables from the sample bank.
Recommendation
If you want to copy the sample company code again, make sure you first deactivate the number range interval copying by means of the table selection. If you fail to do this, existing entries will be overwritten.
Requirements
You must first create your company codes and assign your controlling areas.
Standard settings
The sample company code contains the most important product types. Functions such as the calculation of cash flows and the storage of customer interest rates are linked to the product types. You can usually take over the pre-set defaults just as they are.
The default product types contained in the sample bank contain information that covers the whole range of conditions (for example, for product type 'bank loan' annual, installment or maturity loan). The advantage of entering additional condition groups is that the number of product types is more manageable and the assignment to bank products is simpler (for example, bank products are not differentiated by repayment types). The disadvantage is the effect on the required/optional field display. A larger number of data fields are displayed as optional fields because you cannot decide which fields are to be required/optional fields until you have precise knowledge of the single transaction.
Activities
- Enter the sample company code 0MB1 and your target company code.
- Copy reference displays the pre-set table selection. Accept this selection with Continue. A log is generated once you have successfully copied the sample bank entries.
Additional information
You can see from the default table selection the tables from which the standard settings were transferred. These are displayed before you carry out copying.
